When the finish again looks worn, scuffed or dirty, just clean and
rewax. Don't worry about wax buildup.
"We go through the store at least twice a year to strip and
rewax the floors with at least three layers," he goes on.
Wash and hand-wax the paint and chrome and don't go near car-washu detergents unless you
rewax immediately.
Clean dirty areas with a special stripper/cleaner, then
rewax. Polishes, cleaners and waxes are available from hardwood floor dealers.
You'll probably have to
rewax every six months or so.
If waxed floors aren't deeply scratched or gouged, you can often simply clean,
rewax and buff them to restore their beauty.
