Caribou,
muktuk, and other traditional Inupiat foods are often preferred instead of more common camp food such as steak and hamburgers.
They cut big slabs of skin with underlying fat to prepare
muktuk, which they later ate both raw and boiled.
And they reallly need to have the food - the '
muktuk'.
